GSAS MCB 51

GSAS MCB51 is a development board and supports a wide variety of 8051 (with on-chip ROM) compatible 8-bit micro-controllers. The 8051 family of micro-controllers are extensively used for embedded and real-time applications. This board is designed to be a general-purpose development board for single-chip MCU applications. The MCB51 development board is built around Atmel AT89C51ED2 / RD2 micro-controller which has 64K bytes of on-chip program memory.

  1. GSAS MCB 51 operates on both USB as well as +5V DC external power supply
  2. Optional Power Supply is required if GSAS Interface modules are to be connected to the GSAS MCB 51 board
  3. On-chip Flash Monitor supports Keil μVision Debugger, to download and debug the user application programs
  4. The Flash Monitor assists the user with the debugging features like Source level debugging, Single step, Breakpoints, Full speed execution etc., available in Keil μVision Debugger
  5. Onboard (16×2) LCD
  6. 24 port lines (i.e. P0, P1 and P2) are terminated on a 26-pin IDC header connector, which is compatible with GSAS Interface Modules
  7. All the CPU Signals are terminated on a 44-pin IDC header connector (site) for system expansion
  8. GSAS MCB 51 driver CD contains Keil evaluation software, sample programs for interface modules, Atmel’s FLIP utility for ISP, FTDI USB drivers etc.

GSAS 51E

8051 family of micro-controllers and its derivatives are increasingly becoming popular for instrumentation and control applications due to its speed and powerful instruction set which are essential for real-time applications. This has created the need for a good trainer and development tools.

GSAS 51E (an economically priced microcontroller trainer) provides a complete solution for this requirement. It can be used as a flexible instructional aid in academic institutions and as a powerful development kit in R&D Labs.

The system firmware provides stand-alone monitor, serial monitor, one-line assembler, disassembler, driver for EPROM programmer and Parallel printer interfaces. GSAS 51E is supplied with comprehensive and user-friendly documentation as well as windows based communication software with online-help. The GSAS 51E trainer communicates with host PC through its onboard USB or RS-232C in serial mode.

  1. GSAS 51E operates on single +5V power supply either stand-alone mode or with host PC through its USB or RS-232C interface in serial mode.
    Stand-alone and serial monitor, support the entry of user programs, editing and debugging facilities like single stepping and full speed execution of user programs.

GSAS86E

GSAS-86/88E is an economical version of our advanced microprocessor trainer GSAS-86/88-3. It is a powerful, general purpose microprocessor trainer which can be operated either with 8086 CPU or 8088 CPU in a maximum mode of operation. It can be configured for different modes of operation.

The basic system can be expanded through the system bus connector. The powerful firmware provides keyboard monitor, serial monitor, one-line assembler, disassembler and driver programs for parallel printer interface and EPROM programmer interface. GSAS-86/88E is supported with comprehensive and user-friendly documentation.

GSAS-86/88E can communicate with host PC using the DOS/Windows based Driver Software supplied. All the standard commands of the serial monitor of GSAS-86/88E are fully supported by this package with online help. In addition, object code files (HEX files generated using PC native tools like MASM, TASM) can be downloaded to GSAS-86/88E from the host PC, permitting the development in R&D labs and industries or for training in research and educational institutions. This Trainer communicates with host PC through USB or RS-232C in serial mode.

GSAS 86/88-A

GSAS 86/88-A is an advanced version of our popular model GSAS 86/88-A. It is a powerful, general purpose 16-bit microprocessor trainer. The system expansion can be easily done through the system bus connectors.GSAS 86/88-A comes with keyboard monitor, serial monitor, single line assembler, disassembler and driver programs for parallel printer interface, PROM programmer interface. GSAS 86/88-A is delivered with comprehensive user-friendly documentation and windows based communication package with online help.

The kit can be operated in two modes:

  • Stand-alone mode using LCD and optional PC keyboard
  • Terminal emulator mode with host PC. GSAS 86/88-A serial monitor supports all the standard commands in terminal emulator mode

Also object code files generated for the applications developed using PC native tools like MASM, TASM, etc. can be downloaded to GSAS 86/88-A from the PC.
