Press Release
GSAS Micro Systems is an authorized Binho engineering partner in India
The Binho Supernova I3C Exerciser, Pulsar and Nova USB host adapters are available to Indian engineering teams with application engineering, evaluation units, I3C training and INR procurement
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
GSAS Micro Systems is an authorized engineering partner in India for Binho LLC, covering the Binho Supernova I3C Exerciser, the Pulsar USB Host Adapter and the Nova Multi-Protocol USB Host Adapter.
GSAS lists three Binho products in its India catalogue: the Supernova, the Pulsar and the Nova.
Binho’s flagship instrument, the Supernova, implements the MIPI I3C specification across versions v1.0, v1.1.1 and v1.2 at up to 12.5 MHz, in both SDR mode and HDR-DDR, with In-Band Interrupts, Hot-Join and all Common Command Codes. Binho specifies the instrument’s I3C role as Controller or Target, so the same unit can drive a bus of targets or present itself as one.
Binho states that it does not simply follow the I3C specification but helps develop it, citing participation in MIPI I3C Plugfests since 2022 and membership of the MIPI Alliance as a Contributor Member.
The Pulsar is a USB host adapter in a machined-aluminum enclosure with a 50 MHz SPI controller supporting up to four chip selects and all four modes, a 1 MHz I2C controller with configurable pull-ups, UART at 115200 baud with hardware flow control, and a half-duplex RS-485 interface rated -7 V to +12 V common-mode for Modbus RTU work.
The Nova is Binho’s first-generation multi-protocol adapter, listed by Binho with I2C up to 3.4 MHz, SPI up to a 12 MHz maximum clock speed, UART, 1-Wire and five shared GPIO pins at 3.3 V logic, powered directly from USB. Binho does not mark the Nova as discontinued or end-of-life. Binho’s own framing is that “While newer models like Supernova and Pulsar offer expanded capabilities, the Nova remains a reliable and cost-effective solution.”
GSAS provides the following support for the Binho portfolio in India:
- I3C protocol expertise: application engineering for MIPI I3C v1.0, v1.1.1 and v1.2 target bring-up, sensor integration and HDR-DDR mode testing
- Evaluation units available from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi NCR
- Training workshops on I3C protocol fundamentals, Supernova deployment and Mission Control 3
- Integration support connecting Binho adapters with SEGGER J-Link, Saleae Logic analyzers and Arm development boards in multi-tool debug workflows
- Local procurement with INR invoicing on all Binho products, including the Supernova I3C Exerciser, Pulsar, Nova and accessory boards, with GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa and TReDS support
GSAS also supports teams moving to Mission Control 3 on the Supernova and Pulsar, from firmware updates to workflow setup. Binho publishes Mission Control 3, its point-and-click workbench for I2C, SPI, I3C and GPIO, as a Public Preview rather than a generally available release.
Binho separately publishes a licensed I3C Basic Protocol Analyzer plugin for Saleae Logic, which decodes I3C Basic spec versions v1.0 through v1.2 at 12.5 MHz. Binho offers it under Flex Licensing or Node-Locked Licensing rather than as a free download. Saleae Logic analyzers are also part of the GSAS portfolio.
GSAS provides that support from 11 offices in nine Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
Full product detail is on the Binho partner page.
