Automated Unit Testing: TESSY by Razorcat
GSAS engineers create test environments, write test cases, execute tests on-target or in simulation, and generate MC/DC coverage reports that satisfy ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 requirements. We deploy TESSY by Razorcat as our primary automated unit testing tool for embedded C/C++, qualified for ISO 26262 ASIL D, IEC 61508 SIL 3, and DO-178C DAL A. We handle the full workflow from test planning through regression automation.

Static Code Analysis: Klocwork and Helix QAC
Static analysis catches defects before they become field failures. GSAS deploys and configures both Klocwork (Perforce) for security-focused SAST and Helix QAC (Perforce) for standards-compliance analysis. We tune checker configurations to reduce false positives, establish baseline thresholds, integrate analysis into CI pipelines, and train teams on defect triage workflows.

MC/DC Code Coverage with ULINKpro ETM Trace
Modified Condition/Decision Coverage (MC/DC) is mandated by ISO 26262 ASIL D, DO-178C Level A, and IEC 61508 SIL 3/4. Achieving MC/DC on-target requires hardware trace, GSAS uses the Arm ULINKpro debug probe with ETM (Embedded Trace Macrocell) to capture real-time code execution traces without instrumentation overhead. This gives you accurate coverage data from the actual target hardware.

MISRA C/C++ Compliance
MISRA C:2012 and MISRA C++:2023 are the most widely adopted coding standards for safety-critical embedded software. GSAS has completed 120+ MISRA audits across automotive, defence, medical, and industrial domains. We establish MISRA compliance baselines, configure analysis tools, create deviation procedures, and prepare compliance evidence for assessors.

HIL/SIL Test Design
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing validates embedded software against plant models and real hardware interfaces. GSAS designs HIL/SIL test architectures, develops test harnesses, creates stimulus/response frameworks, and integrates test execution with automated reporting. Regression Testing and CI/CD
