GSAS Micro Systems brings the Elsyca surface finishing portfolio to India

GSAS Micro Systems is an authorized Elsyca NV partner in India, bringing the Elsyca PCB plating and surface finishing simulation portfolio to India’s electronics and manufacturing sector. GSAS has been an authorized Elsyca partner since 2021.

The partnership covers the Elsyca surface finishing portfolio:

• PlatingManager, which predicts coating thickness distribution across complex 3D parts using a digital twin of the electroplating line
• ECoatMaster, which simulates the automotive electrocoating process on body-in-white structures and predicts film thickness inside complex cavities
• PCBPlate, panel and pattern plating simulation driven by Extended Gerber (RS-274X) input
• PCBBalance, an automated design-for-manufacturing tool that optimizes copper distribution across PCB layers to achieve uniform electroplating thickness
• AnodizingManager, aluminum anodizing simulation covering oxide thickness, pore structure and barrier layer thickness
• EPOS, electropolishing simulation that predicts metal removal rate distribution across 3D geometries

ECoatMaster addresses a specific automotive failure mode. Bare spots inside body cavities are the leading cause of premature perforation corrosion in production vehicles, and they are invisible during post-paint inspection, surfacing as warranty claims years later.

On the PCB side, Elsyca reports that PCBPlate has been validated by Eurocircuits at over 90 percent accuracy compared with cross-section measurements. That figure is specific to PCBPlate. PCBBalance reads Extended Gerber files and generates copper thieving and balancing features automatically, and its version 2.1 handles HDI layer stacks and microvias.

GSAS provides software licensing, application engineering, training and technical support for surface finishing simulation projects across automotive, aerospace and electronics teams. Application engineering covers plating simulation project scoping and methodology, training runs as electrochemical simulation methodology workshops, and support extends to surface finishing model construction, simulation execution, results interpretation and report generation guidance.

Procurement support covers GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa and TReDS. GSAS supports Elsyca users from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune.

The Elsyca portfolio sits alongside the Siemens EDA tools GSAS carries, including Xpedition, HyperLynx and Valor, adding the electrochemical manufacturing simulation dimension between PCB design and PCB fabrication.
