GSAS ran five demonstration showcases at DEF-TECH Bharat Bengaluru 2026
Five demonstration showcases at Hall 2, Booth D27 covered functional safety, static analysis, the Cortex-M and Cortex-R production stack, PCB design and production test, and pre-silicon bring-up

GSAS Micro Systems exhibited at DEF-TECH Bharat Bengaluru 2026 at Hall 2, Booth D27, KTPO Whitefield, Bengaluru, from 20 to 22 May 2026, running five demonstration showcases of the software, debug, design and production-test tooling Indian defence and aerospace engineering programmes use to ship mission-critical systems.
The first showcase covered the functional-safety toolchain. GSAS ran a live demonstration of MPU-isolated multi-thread safety-critical firmware on a Cortex-M33 board, using Arm Keil MDK Professional with the Arm Compiler for Embedded FuSa, the safety compiler qualified by TUV SUD, and the Arm FuSa Run-Time System handling spatial isolation and thread watchdogs.
The same station showed Arm Development Studio, the IDE, debug and trace environment for Cortex-R and Cortex-A class avionics work, with multi-core debug and ETM/ETF/ETB trace decode, and the Arm Safety Qualification Kit, the evidence package of Safety Manual, Defect Report, Test Report and Development Process Report that tool-qualification chains require.
Razorcat TESSY was demonstrated for automated dynamic unit, module and integration testing of embedded C and C++ with MC/DC coverage. Razorcat states that TESSY is qualified for safety-related software development according to IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ISO 26262 and EN 50128. DO-178C is not in that scope, and qualifying a verification tool for it is the applicant’s own activity under DO-330.
GSAS engineers also walked visitors through standing up an Arm Local License Server for air-gapped programmes, without outbound connectivity to arm.com domains.
The second showcase covered static analysis. Perforce Helix QAC was shown for MISRA C, MISRA C++, CERT C and AUTOSAR C++14 conformance, and Perforce Klocwork for security-focused static analysis against CWE Top 25, OWASP and ISO/SAE 21434. Both carry initial Rust analysis support in their 2026.1 releases.
The third showcase covered the Cortex-M and Cortex-R production stack. Arm Keil MDK Professional was paired with ULINKplus, which puts current measurement, isolation and energy profiling on a single probe, and GSAS ran SEGGER J-Link debug probes on live target hardware, across the J-Link PRO, J-Link PLUS, J-Link ULTRA and J-Link BASE family. The Ethernet-streaming J-Link PRO was shown for distributed firmware teams across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune working a single target from multiple sites.
The same showcase demonstrated SEGGER embOS with SystemView, showing real-time trace of scheduling, interrupt timing and CPU load, and Flasher production programming for teams moving a design from bench to line. embOS is licensed royalty-free across its Classic, MPU, Ultra and Safe editions, with embOS Safe carrying the IEC 61508 SIL 3 and ISO 26262 ASIL D documentation.
The wider SEGGER software stack shown ran from emFile, which brings FAT12/16/32 and exFAT support with journaling and wear-levelling, through emCrypt and emSecure for cryptography and digital-signature verification, to emWin, an embedded GUI library with the AppWizard visual designer, emCompress for DEFLATE and LZMA compression and the emModbus Modbus RTU, ASCII and TCP stack.
GSAS additionally demonstrated an Arm Ethos based board running on-device inference, using an on-board J-Link OB debug interface.
The fourth showcase covered PCB design and production test. Siemens Xpedition Enterprise, Siemens EDA’s next-generation enterprise PCB design platform, was shown for RF and mixed-signal radar boards, GaN front-ends, EW receivers and harsh-environment avionics PCBs.
On the production-test side, the ProMik Boundary Scan Suite was demonstrated for IEEE 1149.1 JTAG boundary scan, covering automated solder-joint and interconnect fault detection on assembled defence PCBs. A ProMik MSP2100Net lab programmer sat on the bench alongside it.
The fifth showcase covered pre-silicon bring-up. Arm Fixed Virtual Platforms and Fast Models were shown as software models of Cortex-M, Cortex-R, Cortex-A and Neoverse cores for pre-silicon firmware development, shift-left CI testing and hardware-independent verification. The Arm MPS4 FPGA Prototyping Board was also on the stand, an AMD Virtex UltraScale+ platform of 3.8M logic elements for Arm Corstone subsystems, with Cortex-A, Cortex-R and Cortex-M support, PCIe Gen 3, DDR4, FMC+, HDMI, MIPI and on-board ULINKplus.
A working test bench ran alongside the five showcases. PicoScope mixed-signal oscilloscopes covered automotive bus protocol decode, RF and IF capture for EW signal-chain analysis, and power-electronics debugging, and Joulescope handled precision energy and current measurement from microamps to amps.
GSAS highlighted a keynote by Shripathi V on “Simulation-Driven Hypersonic Vehicle Design”, presented at DefTech CON 2026, the conference co-located with the show on 21 and 22 May. Shripathi V is affiliated with Hexagon’s MSC Software business, the simulation portfolio now part of Cadence Design Systems. That portfolio covers multidisciplinary simulation across structures, fluids, thermal and controls for hypersonic vehicles, missiles and airframes, and discussion at Booth D27 covered how simulation outputs link to the firmware, software and embedded-systems toolchain on the integration side.
DEF-TECH Bharat covers aerospace, defence and space. The organiser’s published briefing for the 2026 Bengaluru edition projected more than 12,000 visitors, over 150 exhibitors and more than 750 technologies on display, with 20 or more seminars at the co-located DefTech CON 2026 conference.
The defence and aerospace audience GSAS supports spans government defence R&D laboratories, space-sector organisations, defence public-sector undertakings, private-industry primes and system integrators, and the deep-tech startup ecosystem.
