GSAS Micro Systems becomes an authorized Saleae engineering partner in India

GSAS Micro Systems Pvt. Ltd. is an authorized Saleae engineering partner in India, covering the full current Saleae Logic logic-analyzer line, the newer Saleae Logic MSO mixed-signal oscilloscope line and the Saleae Logic Analyzer Accessories range.

The partnership scope covers three product lines:

• The current Saleae Logic analyzers: Logic 8, Logic Pro 8 and Logic Pro 16
• The Saleae Logic MSO mixed-signal oscilloscopes: MSO 2x100, MSO 4x100 and MSO 4x200
• The Saleae Logic Analyzer Accessories range, including the Logic-to-Wires cable (SAL-00118), the 2x4 Header cable (SAL-00117) and the Wire Harness with Test Clips set (SAL-00097, SAL-00098, SAL-00099 and SAL-00100)

Saleae Logic is a USB-attached logic analyzer family used for mixed-signal capture, protocol decode and timing analysis on real hardware. Saleae is headquartered in South San Francisco, California, and the current Logic hardware is manufactured in Taiwan. Channel counts across the three Logic models run from 8 to 16 mixed-signal channels. The maximum digital sample rate is 500 MS/s on the Pro models and 100 MS/s on the entry Logic 8.

The newer Saleae Logic MSO line extends the same hardware design into a full mixed-signal oscilloscope, in three models: MSO 2x100, MSO 4x100 and MSO 4x200.

Saleae does not charge separately for the Logic 2 desktop software, the protocol decoders, the Python Automation API, the High-Level Analyzer extension framework or the Sample Analyzer SDK. The hardware is the product. Logic 2 ships 23 built-in protocol analyzers alongside more than 50 community-shared decoders distributed through the in-app Logic 2 Marketplace, more than 70 in total.

On the India side, GSAS field application engineers visit customer benches in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi NCR and capture live SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN or async-serial traffic in Logic 2 on the candidate model before a purchase order is raised. GSAS does not bill for that pre-sales engineering.

The Logic 2 Automation API drives capture, decode, export and .sal diff from Python. GSAS pairs with customer test teams to build a first GitHub Actions or GitLab CI workflow that runs those captures on a bench Raspberry Pi for hardware-in-the-loop regression testing.

Where the built-in and community decoder set does not cover a customer’s application-layer protocol, GSAS co-authors the Python High-Level Analyzer with the customer’s firmware team. The customer owns the resulting source. GSAS also runs hands-on workshops for embedded teams on the Logic 2 Automation API, Python HLA development and protocol-decoder customization.

For Saleae units within the standard manufacturer warranty, meaning a warranty not voided through user damage, modification or misuse, GSAS coordinates RMA with Saleae from its Bengaluru office. GSAS quotes Saleae products in INR with GST-compliant invoicing and supports the GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa and TReDS procurement routes used by government, defence and enterprise buyers.

Saleae captures sit alongside the wider GSAS engineering-tools portfolio. They integrate with the Arm Keil MDK, SEGGER J-Link and Siemens EDA toolchains that GSAS already supports in India, and companion adapters from Binho and probe systems from Sensepeek (PCBite), both existing GSAS partnerships, extend the same bench setup.
