About Flasher Hub-4

Flasher Hub-4

The Flasher Hub-4 is a 4-channel gang programming hub that connects up to four SEGGER Flasher Compact units for synchronized, parallel firmware programming. In production environments where throughput directly determines cost per unit, the Flasher Hub-4 multiplies programming capacity by four, all connected Flasher Compact units receive the programming command simultaneously and execute in parallel, reducing per-unit programming time to a fraction of single-unit operation.

Gang Programming for Production

Each Flasher Compact connected to the Hub-4 retains its full standalone capability, JTAG, SWD, cJTAG, and SPI interfaces with download speeds up to 3 MB/s across Arm Cortex-M, Cortex-A, Cortex-R, and RISC-V targets. The hub synchronizes the programming trigger so all four units start and complete together, providing consistent cycle times for production planning. Pass/fail LED feedback on each Flasher Compact gives operators immediate per-unit status, enabling quick identification and replacement of defective targets without halting the entire batch.

For higher-volume production lines, the Flasher Hub-12 extends the same architecture to 12 channels, and multiple hubs can be combined for even greater throughput. The modular approach means manufacturers can start with a Hub-4 and scale up as production volumes grow, protecting the initial investment in Flasher Compact units.

Watch the SEGGER Flasher Hub-4 introduction

The Flasher Hub-4 is ideal for small-to-medium batch production, contract manufacturing stations, and any environment where parallel programming of up to four targets improves throughput without the complexity of a fully automated inline system.

Common questions about Flasher Hub-4

What is the SEGGER Flasher Hub-4 used for?
The Flasher Hub-4 connects up to four Flasher Compact units for synchronized parallel gang programming, multiplying single-unit throughput by four. It suits small-to-medium batch production and contract manufacturing stations.
Standalone vs gang programming: which Flasher do I need?
The Flasher Hub-4 is a gang programming accessory; it does not program targets itself but synchronizes up to four Flasher Compact units to start and finish together. For single-unit standalone programming, use a Flasher Compact alone.
Does the Flasher Hub-4 support secure/protected programming?
Security features follow the connected Flasher Compact units, which support serial number injection for basic traceability. For encrypted firmware and certificate-based authentication in a gang setup, use Flasher Secure units and contact GSAS for a multi-unit configuration.
Can I buy the SEGGER Flasher Hub-4 in India?
Yes. GSAS Micro Systems, an authorized SEGGER engineering partner in India, supplies the Flasher Hub-4 with competitive pricing and short lead times, helping production teams across India scale from single-unit to gang programming.
