GSAS Micro Systems launches the Genesis series, opening with the Cortex-M4 Bridge, an STM32F407 development board designed in India

GSAS Micro Systems Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of Genesis, the company’s own series of microcontroller and FPGA development boards, together with the first product in the series: the Genesis Cortex-M4 Bridge, an STM32F407 development board designed by its engineering team in Bengaluru. The board is ready and is open for pre-order at gsasindia.com/products/gsas/genesis.

The Cortex-M4 Bridge is a carrier board for the STM32F407 Cortex-M4 platform, and the microcontroller board of the Genesis series; on the board itself, the silkscreen reads GSAS MCU Bridge. The STM32F407 processor board seats directly onto two 50-pin morpho headers, J1 and J2, and the Bridge surrounds it with eight wired and terminated peripherals for connectivity, motion, storage, sensing and operator interaction.

On the connectivity side, a DP83848CVV PHY provides 10/100 Ethernet, a TCAN1462 transceiver puts the board on a CAN bus, and three pluggable RF module slots each connect over their own dedicated UART, so radios can be changed without reworking the board.

A TBD62083AFWG driver provides stepper motor drive. Two EEPROMs cover on-board storage, an AT24C02 on the I2C bus and a 25AA010A on the SPI bus, and a TMP1075 sensor handles temperature sensing. For the operator, the board carries a TFT display header, a 7-segment display and a keypad. An LM1117 regulator supplies the 3.3 V rail, with a separately filtered Veth rail for the Ethernet PHY. Each peripheral is a complete subsystem: the Ethernet block is a PHY with magnetics and terminations, not just a jack.

For GSAS, which has worked as an engineering partner to embedded teams across India since its founding in 2010, the Genesis series is a step deeper into the company’s own hardware.

The Cortex-M4 Bridge is the board our own engineers kept wishing they had: the STM32F407 seats onto it and every peripheral is already wired and terminated, so a team spends its first week on the product, not the plumbing. The launch follows the inauguration of the company’s new manufacturing and R&D facility at Doddaballapur, Bengaluru Rural, on 5 September 2026. As announced at the opening, the Doddaballapur site will also become the manufacturing base for the Genesis series of microcontroller and FPGA development boards, alongside additional GSAS products currently under development. The Cortex-M4 Bridge is the first board in that series.
