DSTREAM-ST in Vadodara

Vadodara anchors the industrial heartland of central Gujarat, spanning the Savli, Halol, Makarpura, and Waghodia GIDC industrial estates. The region is a major centre for power electronics, heavy electrical equipment, and transmission engineering, with manufacturing operations from GE Power, Alstom, Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, L&T Electrical & Automation (now part of Schneider), Larsen & Toubro Heavy Engineering, and Bombardier Transportation. The Savli GIDC hosts MG Motor India (SAIC Motor)'s Halol plant, along with a dense pharma and specialty chemicals cluster. Vadodara is the principal city of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor's (DMIC) central Gujarat segment and is adjacent to the Dahej PCPIR, Jamnagar refining cluster, and the Dholera Special Investment Region (with announced semiconductor fab investments). The city is also home to Indian Railways' Vadodara Division, the National Academy of Indian Railways, and has growing aerospace-defence presence via C-295 aircraft manufacturing at Tata-Airbus's Final Assembly Line at Vadodara. Maharaja Sayajirao University and Parul University supply engineering talent across electrical, instrumentation, and mechatronics disciplines.
