About GPT-9500 Series
The GPT-9500 Series is a multi-channel hipot tester combining AC withstanding voltage, DC withstanding voltage, and insulation resistance testing in a single 3-in-1 instrument with a built-in 8-channel scanner. The 480x272 color TFT LCD provides intuitive test setup and clear result display, while ARC detection identifies insulation breakdown events that might otherwise be masked by leakage current readings alone.

The built-in 8-channel scanner eliminates the need for external switching matrices when testing multi-terminal products such as transformers, motors, and multi-output power supplies. Each channel can be independently assigned to test sequences, reducing operator intervention and test cycle time. The open/short check (OSC) function verifies test lead integrity before each measurement, preventing false passes.
Test parameter export and import via USB enables standardized test configurations across multiple production lines and facilities. The statistics counter tracks cumulative pass/fail results for yield monitoring and quality reporting.
Production safety testing of transformers, appliances, motors, and multi-terminal assemblies benefits from the GPT-9500’s integrated scanner approach. ARC detection provides an additional layer of defect screening beyond standard leakage current limits.
