About embOS RTOS
SEGGER embOS is a deterministic real-time operating system purpose-built for resource-constrained embedded systems where every byte of ROM and every microsecond of interrupt response time matters. With a kernel footprint under 1 KB of ROM and zero-interrupt-latency design, embOS ensures that hardware interrupts are never delayed by RTOS operations, a critical property for motor control, sensor fusion, and real-time communication protocols where timing jitter is unacceptable.

All four editions share the same API, making it straightforward to start with embOS Classic during prototyping and move to embOS Safe when the project enters certification. Each edition supports Arm Cortex-M, Cortex-A, Cortex-R, and RISC-V architectures with prebuilt ports for all major silicon vendors.
