“Stay up to date with the latest enhancements in Keil MDK.”, Arm webinar overview

What’s covered

A 30-minute walk-through of the recent enhancements in Arm Keil MDK, plus live Q&A. The session covers:

  • Set up the tool environment and solve potential issues, getting a clean baseline install on a modern Windows or Linux host.
  • Use software packs to add new features to an application project, the CMSIS-Pack workflow that lets a Cortex-M project pull in middleware, drivers, and example code without rebuilding the project from scratch.
  • Use serial I/O with Telnet Service, Semihosting, and RTT: three different ways to get printf-style output off an embedded target during development.
  • Work with Zephyr applications: using Keil MDK against the Zephyr RTOS for teams that have standardised on Zephyr but still want the MDK debugger and tooling.
  • Live Views, Peripheral Views, and software analysis with SEGGER SystemView: runtime visualisation of RTOS scheduling, peripheral state, and application-defined events.

Why Indian teams should attend

For Indian Cortex-M product teams running Arm Keil MDK day-to-day, this is the cleanest way to stay current with the toolchain without trawling release notes. The agenda’s coverage of Zephyr support is particularly relevant for teams in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai that have standardised on Zephyr for new IoT, automotive, and industrial product lines but want to keep MDK as the debugger and analysis tool.

Why GSAS is sharing this

GSAS Micro Systems is Arm’s authorized partner in India for Arm Development Tools. We share the live Arm webinars so Indian teams running MDK, or evaluating it for a new product, can hear directly from the Arm product team about what shipped recently. If you have follow-up questions on how the new features fit into your India-based embedded program, talk to us after the webinar.
