Overview
About Arm Compiler for Embedded FuSa
Arm Compiler for Embedded FuSa is the safety-qualified variant of Arm Compiler 6, qualified by TUV SUD for use in functional safety projects across automotive, industrial, railway, and medical domains. It is the same LLVM-based compiler engine with Arm-specific optimization passes, delivered with the Qualification Kit that safety assessors require: a TUV SUD certificate, a Safety Manual, a Test Report, and a Defect Report. Per Arm’s published Arm Compiler for Embedded FuSa product page, the qualified releases of AC6 FuSa are certified to ISO 26262 (Automotive) ASIL D, IEC 61508 (Industrial) SIL 3, EN 50716 (Railways) SIL 4, and IEC 62304 (Medical) Class C, the four standards Arm currently lists for AC6 FuSa. Certification applies to specific qualified releases of AC6 FuSa, not to every AC6 release.
The FuSa compiler generates deterministic, optimized code for Cortex-M, Cortex-R, and Cortex-A targets. Deterministic code generation means that identical source code, compiler version, and compiler options produce identical object code, a fundamental requirement for safety certification workflows where build reproducibility must be demonstrated to assessors. The compiler’s link-time optimization (LTO) and whole-program analysis deliver the code density and performance that safety-critical embedded systems demand.

FuSa Compiler vs Standard Arm Compiler 6
The FuSa variant shares the same compiler engine, optimizations, and target support as the standard Arm Compiler 6. The difference is the certification status of specific qualified releases and the accompanying Qualification Kit: qualified releases of AC6 FuSa ship with the TUV SUD certificate, a Safety Manual documenting validated use cases / known limitations / recommended usage, a Test Report covering compiler verification, and a Defect Report. Teams using the standard Arm Compiler 6 in safety projects would need to perform their own tool qualification, moving to a qualified AC6 FuSa release eliminates that effort by providing pre-qualified evidence accepted by TUV SUD against the four standards Arm publishes for AC6 FuSa.
The FuSa Compiler is available standalone, as part of Keil MDK Professional, or as part of Arm Development Studio Gold FuSa edition. GSAS provides licensing, qualification guidance, and support for Indian engineering teams working on safety-critical projects.

Arm User-Based Licensing in CI/CD: armlm, Proxy Activation and What Breaks
A CI job under Arm User-Based Licensing does not check a licence out and check it back in. It reads a cached certificate that Arm's User Guide says 'is valid for 7 days'. That one difference explains most of what goes wrong in an embedded pipeline, and it is why Arm's own documentation points Continuous Integration workflows at proxy activation rather than at per-job activation against a licence server.
Two Arm Keil MDK Webinars This Summer: DevOps and Edge AI for Indian Cortex-M Teams
Arm is running two free live Keil MDK webinars this summer: DevOps with Keil MDK on 23 June and edge AI with ModelNova Fusion Studio on 21 July. What Cortex-M teams in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR should know, shared by GSAS, Arm's authorized partner in India.
AI Data Centers in India: Test, Measurement & Memory Boom
AI is a hardware supercycle. Every AI rack has to be designed, brought up, powered, fed with memory, and kept alive, and each of those is a test, measurement and memory problem. Here is the full engineering toolchain behind the AI data center, mapped to what Indian teams can buy today through GSAS.
