Bengaluru anchors a major embedded and semiconductor engineering cluster in India. The city hosts global semiconductor R&D centres, including operations from Intel, Arm, and Bosch, concentrated across Electronic City, Whitefield, ITPL, Manyata Tech Park, and Outer Ring Road. The Karnataka government's ESDM policy, administered through KIADB and Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, supports semiconductor design, VLSI, and embedded systems growth across Peenya, Bommasandra, and Hebbal industrial zones.
