About Analog Discovery Pro ADP3450
The Digilent Analog Discovery Pro ADP3450 is a portable 4-channel mixed-signal oscilloscope that delivers 14-bit resolution (16-bit with oversampling) at up to 500 MS/s, combined with a 16-channel logic analyzer, dual arbitrary waveform generators, and programmable power supply in a compact form factor smaller and lighter than a laptop. As the flagship of Digilent’s Analog Discovery Pro 3000 series, the ADP3450 bridges the gap between USB-connected instruments and traditional benchtop oscilloscopes — offering four true analog channels, Ethernet connectivity, and a built-in Linux automation mode for unattended measurement and test scripting.

Operating Modes
The ADP3450 supports three operating modes. In Standard mode, it connects to a host computer via USB or Ethernet and runs all instruments through the WaveForms software interface — oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, waveform generator, protocol analyzer, voltmeter, and data logger (up to 13 virtual instruments). In Linux mode, the ADP3450 boots its on-board Linux environment, enabling autonomous measurement, scripting, and automation without a host PC — engineers can SSH in, run Python scripts, and collect data from remote or unattended installations. Ethernet mode provides network-attached instrument access for distributed test setups.
The four true analog channels with 14-bit resolution and +/-25 V input range handle the most common oscilloscope tasks — monitoring power rails, debugging serial buses, and characterizing analog signal chains — while the 16 digital channels provide simultaneous logic analysis on a shared timebase. The 32 MS per-channel buffer supports extended captures for protocol analysis and intermittent fault detection.
