About ASR-2000 Series

The GW Instek ASR-2000 Series is a programmable AC/DC power source delivering 500 VA to 1000 VA with an output voltage range of 0 to 350 Vrms and a frequency span of 1.00 Hz to 999.9 Hz. Built-in measurement captures Vrms, Vavg, Vpeak, Irms, IpkH, Iavg, Ipeak, real power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor, and crest factor. Voltage and current harmonic analysis with THDv and THDi provides detailed power quality insight without external instrumentation.

The ASR-2000 supports arbitrary waveform generation for simulating non-sinusoidal mains conditions, enabling engineers to replicate real-world power disturbances during appliance compliance testing and power supply validation. Sequence and simulation functions with up to 10 programmable sets allow automated voltage and frequency sweep profiles for production testing and product qualification. Customizable phase angle control for output on/off transitions adds precision when testing inrush current behavior and relay switching transients.

Protection features including OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, AC fail detection, and fan fail alarm safeguard both the instrument and the device under test. Remote sensing compensates for voltage drop in test leads, ensuring accurate voltage delivery at the DUT terminals.
