Overview
About PSP Series
The GW Instek PSP Series is a switching DC power supply combining high efficiency and high power density with user-friendly controls for bench and system applications. A 3-step fan speed control reduces acoustic noise during low-power operation, making the PSP Series comfortable for use in quiet laboratory environments. LCD display provides clear readout of output voltage and current.
Model Comparison

| PSP-2010 | 0 - 20V | 10A | Highest current output |
Key Features
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Fan Control | 3-step speed control |
| Display | LCD |
| Output Control | On/off control |
| Protection | OVL, OCL, OTP, OPL |
| Operation Keys | Normal, +%, -% output |
| Interface | RS-232C |
Output on/off control with dedicated front-panel switching enables safe connection and disconnection of loads without cycling the power supply. Protection features including over-voltage limit (OVL), over-current limit (OCL), over-temperature protection (OTP), and over-power limit (OPL) safeguard the instrument and the device under test. Normal, +%, and -% output operation keys enable quick adjustments relative to the set output, streamlining repetitive bench testing workflows.
The PSP Series serves engineers working on circuit development, component testing, sensor biasing, and general-purpose power delivery. Three models span complementary voltage and current ranges, the PSP-603 for higher-voltage requirements up to 60V, the PSP-405 for mid-range 40V applications, and the PSP-2010 for high-current 10A needs at lower voltages. RS-232C remote control enables basic automation and data logging.
GSAS Micro Systems delivers the PSP Series across India with prompt availability, application support, and service coverage.

A motor drive bench powered at its DC link terminals needs a bus that supplies the drive and takes energy back when the motor brakes. How one bidirectional source, sized against the real bus voltage, replaces the supply, blocking diode and load.
