About SPD-3606 Multiple Output Dual Range DC Power Supply
The GW Instek SPD-3606 is a multiple output dual range DC power supply that uses switching topology to achieve up to 25% higher power conversion efficiency compared to traditional linear supplies. It provides three independent isolated outputs: CH1 and CH2 each offer dual range operation of 30V/6A or 60V/3A, automatically optimizing the output stage for the selected voltage and current combination. CH3 supplies an adjustable 0.1V to 5V at 3A for logic-level and microcontroller power rails.

Applications
The SPD-3606’s dual range capability on CH1 and CH2 provides exceptional flexibility, a single channel covers both low-voltage/high-current and high-voltage/low-current test scenarios, reducing the number of instruments needed on the bench. The higher efficiency switching design generates less heat than linear supplies, enabling reliable operation in compact test setups and production environments where thermal management is a concern.
Remote control output on/off allows external triggering of power delivery, making the SPD-3606 suitable for integration into automated test fixtures and production jigs. Optional voltage/current protection knobs provide a physical safety mechanism against accidental overvoltage or overcurrent conditions. The three independent isolated channels eliminate ground loop issues when powering separate circuit domains simultaneously.
