Microtest 6360 series LCR meter, benchtop component measurement

The 5 mA current range with 10 uW power resolution enables low standby power testing for regulatory compliance with international energy efficiency standards including IEC 62301, Energy Star, and ErP Directive Lot 6. Simultaneous integration measurement accumulates energy consumption over defined test intervals for energy efficiency calculations without separate instrumentation. The 100th-order harmonic analysis measures voltage and current harmonic distortion for power quality assessment per IEC 61000-3-2.

Measurement Applications

  • Power supply efficiency — Measure input power, output power, and calculate efficiency across load conditions for switch-mode power supplies, LED drivers, and battery chargers.
  • Standby power compliance — Verify sub-watt standby consumption for consumer electronics, home appliances, and IT equipment against international energy efficiency regulations.
  • Motor and drive testing — Analyze power consumption, power factor, and harmonic content of motor drive systems under varying speed and load conditions.
  • Inverter and converter characterization — Measure input/output power and efficiency of DC-DC converters, DC-AC inverters, and AC-DC rectifiers across the operating envelope.
  • Harmonic analysis — Quantify voltage and current harmonic distortion for EMC pre-compliance and power quality assessment.

The 4.3-inch TFT LCD displays both numeric measurement values and graphical waveform/harmonic bar charts simultaneously, providing immediate visual feedback during test. The compact form factor fits bench-top, rack-mount, and ATE integration scenarios.
