About Microtest 7110 Power Meter

Newer module available. Microtest’s current single-phase power meter catalogue lists the 7120, and the 7110 no longer appears as a separate catalogue entry. It survives in Microtest’s own selection table as the 10 kHz variant of the 7120 family. New specifications should be built around the 7120, which carries the same measurement set with a DC and 15 Hz to 100 kHz range. This page is kept for teams running an existing 7110 who need its specification and a service path.

The Microtest 7110 Power Meter is an entry-level single-phase instrument for measuring voltage, current, power, power factor, apparent power, and frequency. Microtest’s selection table gives the 7110 a DC and 15 Hz to 10 kHz frequency range against the 7120’s DC and 15 Hz to 100 kHz, and the product photography on this page is the 7120, which is the unit Microtest publishes for the family. Positioned as the cost-effective starting point in the Microtest power measurement lineup, the 7110 delivers the essential power parameters required for production-line power verification, basic energy efficiency testing, and quality assurance of electrical products, without the advanced harmonic analysis and high-resolution standby power features of the higher-end 7120 and 7130 models.

Basic Power Measurement

The 7110 measures true RMS voltage and current, active power, power factor, apparent power, and frequency, the core parameters needed for production testing of power supplies, lighting products, home appliances, and electrical assemblies. The 7-segment display provides clear real-time readout of measurement values, and the USB/RS232 interface enables data logging and remote control for automated test system integration.

Cost-Effective Production Testing

For production environments where the primary requirement is go/no-go power verification rather than detailed power quality analysis, the 7110 provides the essential measurement capability at a lower investment than the feature-rich 7120 and 7130 models. Facilities can deploy multiple 7110 units across parallel production lines while reserving the higher-end power analyzers for R&D and detailed characterization work.

Applications

Power supply manufacturers performing basic input power and efficiency verification, lighting product companies testing lamp driver power consumption, home appliance producers checking power ratings, and electronics assemblers verifying power supply output all use the 7110 for straightforward power measurement. The instrument also serves as a utility power meter for facilities monitoring energy consumption at individual production stations.

GSAS Micro Systems delivers the Microtest 7110 Power Meter to manufacturing and testing facilities across India with INR invoicing and support.
