Beyond Static Analysis: Turning Detection into Immediate Remediation with AI

Static analysis tells you what is wrong. The harder question is how fast your team can turn each finding into a merged fix. In this live Perforce webinar, Gil Riddall, Product Manager for the Perforce Static Analysis tools Klocwork and Helix QAC, walks through AI-assisted code remediation: how detection becomes immediate, developer-approved remediation without leaving the IDE.
What’s covered
- Catch and fix issues earlier. How finding and fixing defects earlier in development keeps teams ahead of costly rework.
- AI-guided fixes, in context, in the IDE. AI-guided in-context fix suggestions delivered directly in the IDE where developers work. AI-assisted code remediation first shipped in the 2025.4 release for VS Code, with human-in-the-loop approval: developers approve every suggestion before it is applied, so quality gates stay intact.
- Flexible, tool-agnostic workflows. The remediation workflow is built on an MCP-based architecture that is LLM-agnostic and IDE-agnostic. The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server introduced in the 2026.1 release is mainly applicable today to VS Code with GitHub Copilot, and provides a standardized basis for future support of other AI chat tools and IDEs.

Why this matters for Indian embedded and automotive teams
For MISRA and functional-safety programs, the bottleneck is rarely detection, it is the remediation backlog that findings create. Helix QAC is the industry reference for MISRA compliance analysis, with 100% enforcement coverage for MISRA C:2025, MISRA C:2023, and MISRA C++:2023, plus TUV SUD certified qualification support for ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 programs. Klocwork brings the same discipline to security-focused SAST across C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Kotlin, with findings mapped to CWE, OWASP, and CERT and incremental diff-based analysis that returns results on every commit.
AI-assisted remediation closes the loop on both tools: contextual fixes for issues identified in the analysis results, reviewed and approved by a developer before anything is applied. For Indian automotive, aerospace, medical device, and industrial teams whose compliance evidence depends on those quality gates, that human-in-the-loop model is the part worth scrutinizing live, and the Q&A is the place to do it.
Who should attend
- Teams already running Helix QAC or Klocwork who want to see the AI remediation and MCP workflow before rolling it out.
- Engineering leads on MISRA, ISO 26262, or IEC 61508 programs weighing how AI coding assistance fits alongside their static analysis quality gates.
- Teams evaluating static analysis for the first time who want to see where Perforce is taking the developer workflow.
