About SimManager
SimManager is Cadence’s simulation process and data management (SPDM) platform that organizes, automates, and governs CAE workflows across engineering organizations. As simulation usage scales from individual analysts to enterprise-wide deployment, managing the volume of models, results, reports, and solver configurations becomes a critical challenge. SimManager provides a centralized web-based environment where simulation data is stored, indexed, and searchable; simulation processes are standardized and automated; and management has visibility into solver utilization, project status, and analysis quality metrics.
The platform manages the complete simulation lifecycle: job submission to HPC clusters (with scheduler integration for PBS, LSF, SLURM), automated post-processing and report generation, data archival with version control, and approval workflows for releasing simulation results into the product development process. SimManager supports all MSC solvers (Nastran, Adams, Marc, Actran, Cradle CFD) as well as third-party solvers (ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, OpenFOAM), making it suitable for heterogeneous solver environments. Integration with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill) links simulation data to the product configuration, ensuring traceability between design revisions and corresponding analysis results.
For Indian engineering organizations scaling their simulation capabilities — particularly automotive OEMs with hundreds of analysts, aerospace companies with certification documentation requirements, and engineering services companies managing multi-client simulation workflows — SimManager brings the process discipline and data governance that ad-hoc file-share-based workflows cannot provide. GSAS provides SimManager deployment, workflow customization, and training for simulation teams.
