About NI Ettus USRP X310

The NI Ettus USRP X310 is a high-performance, scalable software defined radio platform built around the Xilinx Kintex-7 XC7K410T FPGA with 406K logic cells and 1 GB DDR3 memory. Housed in a half-wide 1U enclosure suitable for desktop or rack-mount deployment, the X310 accepts two modular RF daughterboard slots that determine its frequency range and bandwidth — up to 160 MHz of baseband bandwidth per channel with UBX-160 or TwinRX daughterboards.

The X310’s multiple high-speed interface options — dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe Express, and dual 1 Gigabit Ethernet — enable deployment scenarios from laptop-connected field measurements to high-throughput rack-mounted research infrastructure. The user-programmable Kintex-7 FPGA with on-board JTAG adapter supports custom real-time signal processing directly on the device, while the UHD architecture provides compatibility with GNU Radio, C++/Python APIs, and commercial frameworks.

For advanced wireless research requiring maximum bandwidth, computational headroom, and modular RF configurability — including 5G NR research, wideband spectrum sensing, multi-channel direction finding, and radar prototyping — the X310 delivers the performance and flexibility of a dedicated research instrument. GSAS Micro Systems provides the USRP X310 with daughterboard selection guidance and system configuration support for academic and defense research teams across India.
