About Joulescope JS220 Eval Kit
The Joulescope JS220 Eval Kit bundles the JS220 precision energy analyzer with a complete set of connection accessories — banana jack cables, board header adapters, and USB cable — so engineers can begin power profiling immediately without sourcing individual cables and connectors. The kit removes the friction of getting started with current measurement on development boards, evaluation kits, and prototype hardware.

Kit Contents
- Joulescope JS220 — Precision DC energy analyzer with 0.5 nA resolution and 34-bit dynamic range
- USB-C cable — Host connection for data streaming and instrument power
- Banana-to-banana cables — For inline current measurement with bench power supplies
- Banana-to-header adapters — Direct connection to development board power headers
- Flying lead adapters — Custom wiring for non-standard connection points
- Quick start guide — Setup instructions and first measurement walkthrough

At its core is the JS220 with 0.5 nA resolution across a 34-bit dynamic range, simultaneous 16-bit ADCs at 2 Msps, and Enwavify autoranging that switches in 1 microsecond with no data gaps. The low 20 mV burden voltage keeps target devices operating within normal parameters during measurement, and electrical isolation prevents ground loops. The included adapters cover the most common connection scenarios: banana-to-banana for bench power supplies, banana-to-header for direct board connection, and flying leads for custom wiring. The Joulescope UI software (Windows, macOS, Linux) and Python API enable both interactive exploration — visualizing sleep modes, active modes, ISRs, and inrush currents in real time — and automated test integration from day one.
The Eval Kit is the recommended starting point for teams new to precision current measurement. Rather than spending time sourcing compatible cables and adapters, engineers receive everything needed to make their first measurement within minutes of unboxing. This is particularly valuable during evaluation cycles where time-to-first-result determines whether a tool gets adopted or shelved.
