About Binho Pulsar USB Host Adapter
The Binho Pulsar is a USB host adapter that puts a genuinely fast SPI controller, an I2C controller, UART and an RS-485 transceiver behind one USB Type-C connection. Binho specifies the SPI controller at 50 MHz with up to four chip-select signals, all four SPI modes and configurable MSB or LSB bit order; the I2C controller at 1 MHz with 7-bit addressing, clock stretching and configurable pull-up resistors; UART at 115200 baud with hardware flow control; and six digital I/O pins that can be configured as interrupts. The host link is USB 2.0 High Speed at 480 Mbps, and downstream power is programmable from 1.2 V to 3.3 V, so the Pulsar can supply a low-voltage target rail rather than requiring a separate bench supply for simple bring-up.

The RS-485 interface is the one that earns the Pulsar its place in Indian industrial work. Binho specifies it as half-duplex with a -7 V to +12 V common-mode input range, which is the parameter that decides whether a link survives the ground offsets of a long cable run between two panels. That makes the Pulsar directly useful on Modbus RTU networks, where the same instrument can then switch to I2C to read a sensor register or SPI to verify a flash image on the same controller board. Physically it is a machined-aluminum enclosure with five RGB LEDs, two mounting holes with hardware included, and a custom protective zippered carry case.
Read Binho’s own feature list carefully before you specify the Pulsar into a test plan. Binho publishes several capabilities as coming soon, and GSAS treats those as roadmap, not as shipping features: SPI Peripheral, I2C Peripheral, I2C 10-bit addressing, CAN-FD (Binho’s stated figure is up to 5 Mbps, optimized for use in 12 V systems), 1-Wire, and GPIO PWM.
