About Pico OEM & Custom Integration Solutions

Pico Technology’s OEM and custom integration program gives manufacturers, system integrators, and test equipment builders a direct path to embedding high-performance oscilloscope and data acquisition measurement capability into their own products. Rather than designing measurement front-ends from scratch, OEM customers use proven PicoScope hardware — PCB-only modules, modified enclosures, or standard products with locked firmware — and control them through PicoSDK, a mature API with drivers for Windows, macOS, and Linux. GSAS Micro Systems is the authorized Pico Technology partner in India for OEM and custom integration projects, providing local engineering support, volume pricing, and logistics.

OEM Oscilloscope Modules

Pico Technology offers bare-board (PCB-only) versions of its oscilloscope product lines for embedding into test systems, production equipment, and custom instrumentation enclosures. The PicoScope 2000B Series PCB module, for example, provides 100 MHz bandwidth, 1 GS/s sample rate, and 128 MS memory on a compact board with 0.1” header termination and USB 2.0 interface — ready to mount inside rack systems, ATE fixtures, or portable field instruments without the standard plastic enclosure.

OEM OptionDescription
PCB-only modulesPicoScope boards without enclosure for embedded mounting
PCB modificationsCustom terminations, connectors, and adaptations
FPGA custom codeUser-defined code deployed on PicoScope FPGA hardware
Locked hardwareFirmware lock for IP protection in deployed systems
Branded hardwareWhite-label enclosures with customer branding
Small form factorRack-mount and embedded product configurations
Pre-engineered mountingIntegration-ready mounting solutions

OEM modules retain the full measurement performance of their retail counterparts — bandwidth, resolution, sample rate, and buffer depth are identical — while eliminating the enclosure cost and providing flexible mechanical integration options.

Custom Data Acquisition Solutions

Beyond oscilloscope modules, Pico Technology supports custom DAQ configurations for specialized measurement applications. Whether the requirement is high-channel-count temperature logging, precision voltage measurement, or synchronized multi-unit acquisition, Pico’s engineering team works with OEM customers to configure hardware and firmware to match the application. The PicoLog and PicoScope product lines cover data acquisition from DC to hundreds of MHz, with resolution from 8-bit to 16-bit and channel counts from 1 to 8+ per unit, with multi-unit synchronization for larger channel counts.

PicoSDK Integration

PicoSDK is the software layer that makes OEM integration practical. It provides a consistent API across all PicoScope and PicoLog hardware, with drivers and libraries for multiple programming environments:

Language / EnvironmentSupport Level
C / C++Native API with header files and libraries
C# / .NETManaged wrappers and example projects
Pythonctypes bindings and example scripts
MATLABInstrument Control Toolbox compatible drivers
LabVIEWVI libraries for National Instruments integration
LinuxNative drivers for x86 and ARM (Raspberry Pi)
macOSNative drivers for Intel and Apple Silicon

PicoSDK enables streaming mode (continuous data flow to the host application), block mode (triggered capture), and rapid block mode (fast sequential acquisitions) — the same acquisition modes available in PicoScope 7 software, but controlled programmatically. This makes it straightforward to build automated measurement routines, integrate PicoScope data into existing test frameworks, and create turnkey test stations with custom user interfaces.

Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Integration

PicoScope modules are widely deployed in ATE systems for production testing, incoming inspection, and end-of-line verification. The combination of USB connectivity, compact PCB form factor, and full SDK control makes PicoScope a practical alternative to PXI or VXI modular instruments in many ATE applications — particularly where the requirement is for oscilloscope-class measurement (bandwidth, triggering, protocol decoding) rather than pure data logging.

Notable ATE and production deployments include semiconductor power device testing (AccoTest), high-power module characterization (Hitachi), electron beam additive manufacturing monitoring (Wayland), and particle accelerator diagnostics (GSI/FAIR). These implementations demonstrate that PicoScope OEM modules deliver the reliability and measurement repeatability needed for 24/7 production environments, not just R&D benches.

Volume Pricing Through GSAS

GSAS Micro Systems provides volume pricing for Pico Technology OEM modules and standard products for integration projects in India. Whether the requirement is 10 units for a pilot ATE line or 500+ units for a multi-site production deployment, GSAS handles India-specific logistics, import, customs, and after-sales support. OEM pricing is project-specific and depends on module selection, volume, and customization level — contact GSAS for a project-specific quotation.

Embedding measurement capability into a product or test system is not purely a hardware procurement exercise — it requires applications engineering to select the right PicoScope module, mechanical integration planning, SDK development guidance, and ongoing production support. GSAS Micro Systems provides this end-to-end integration support from offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi, with engineers experienced in PicoScope SDK programming, ATE architecture, and production test system design. For OEM projects, GSAS works directly with Pico Technology’s OEM engineering team in the UK to ensure that custom configurations, firmware modifications, and volume production schedules are managed smoothly.
