About PicoScope 7 Software
PicoScope 7 is Pico Technology’s free oscilloscope application that transforms any real-time PicoScope USB oscilloscope into a full-featured measurement workstation. It integrates six instruments in a single interface — oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, function generator, arbitrary waveform generator, serial protocol decoder, and logic analyzer (on MSO models) — eliminating the need for separate software tools for different measurement modes. PicoScope 7 is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux at no cost, with free lifetime software updates and technical support included, ensuring that PicoScope hardware continuously gains new capabilities as the software evolves.

The software’s serial protocol decoding capability is a significant cost advantage: where competing oscilloscope vendors charge separately for each protocol decoder license, PicoScope 7 includes all supported decoders at no extra cost from initial installation. The multi-display workspace supports flexible arrangements across multiple monitors and screen sizes, with both light and dark interface modes and touch-optimized controls for modern display workflows. DeepMeasure extends automatic measurements beyond single-acquisition statistics by analyzing every cycle in a captured waveform, building measurement distributions that reveal intermittent timing violations and parameter drift.
Watch the PicoScope 7 Software introduction
PicoScope 7 is the standard companion software for all PicoScope 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, and 6000 series oscilloscopes, providing a consistent measurement experience across the entire real-time product range. Engineers evaluating PicoScope hardware can download PicoScope 7 before purchase to explore the interface in demo mode. GSAS Micro Systems assists customers with PicoScope 7 configuration, protocol decoder setup, and integration into measurement workflows alongside PicoScope hardware supplied across India.
