About RYB080I Bluetooth 5.0 Module

The REYAX RYB080I is a compact Bluetooth Low Energy module supporting Bluetooth v4.2 and v5.0, built on the Texas Instruments CC2640R2F Arm Cortex-M3 chipset. With an embedded ceramic antenna, sub-microamp standby current (~1 uA), and a simple 2-pin UART interface with AT command firmware, the RYB080I enables rapid BLE integration without RF design expertise. Hardware teams add Bluetooth connectivity by connecting TX, RX, VCC, and GND pins and sending serial AT commands.

RYB080I Bluetooth 5.0 BLE module, compact ceramic antenna design

The CC2640R2F platform delivers BLE power efficiency. At 1-second advertising intervals the module draws just 23 uA, dropping to 3 uA at 10-second intervals — enabling years of operation on a coin cell battery. The ~2 ms wake-up time supports latency-sensitive applications where the module must transition rapidly from deep sleep to active BLE communication. Two simultaneous BLE connections allow the module to maintain links to a central device and a peripheral simultaneously.

Automotive telematics systems, fleet tracking devices, vehicle diagnostics interfaces, tire pressure monitoring systems, and in-vehicle sensor networks use the RYB080I for short-range BLE communication between ECUs, sensors, and mobile devices. The -40 to +85 C operating temperature range and FCC/MIC/NCC pre-certification make the module suitable for automotive and industrial deployments without additional RF regulatory testing when used as a certified module within a host product.
