About RYLR896

The REYAX RYLR896 is a LoRa transceiver module based on the Semtech SX1276, operating at 868 MHz and 915 MHz ISM bands with +20 dBm transmit power and over 10 km line-of-sight range. The module uses the same UART AT command interface as the newer RYLR998, providing a familiar integration path for teams already working with Reyax LoRa modules. The SX1276 platform is well-established in deployed sensor networks worldwide, with extensive community documentation and proven field reliability.

RYLR896 LoRa module, SX1276 wireless transceiver

The RYLR896 remains available for designs that require SX1276 compatibility, either to maintain consistency with existing deployed networks, to match a reference design based on the SX1276, or to support products already in production. The AT command set is compatible with the RYLR998, so migration to the newer SX1262-based module requires only hardware substitution with minimal firmware changes when teams are ready to take advantage of the improved power efficiency and higher transmit power of the current-generation platform.

Existing IoT deployments, maintenance and expansion of installed sensor networks, and designs locked to SX1276-based reference architectures benefit from the RYLR896’s continued availability. For new designs without legacy constraints, the RYLR998 (SX1262-based) offers improved performance and lower power consumption at a similar price point.

GSAS Micro Systems provides REYAX RYLR896 modules from Indian inventory with INR invoicing, supporting both ongoing production supply for existing designs and migration consulting for teams transitioning to the RYLR998.
