About RYLR998

The REYAX RYLR998 is a current-generation sub-GHz LoRa transceiver module built on the Semtech SX1262 chipset, delivering long-range wireless communication at 868 MHz and 915 MHz ISM bands. With +22 dBm transmit power and LoRa spread-spectrum modulation, the module achieves over 16 km line-of-sight range while maintaining low power consumption suitable for battery-operated sensor nodes. The UART interface with AT command firmware enables rapid integration without RF design expertise, hardware teams add LoRa connectivity by connecting TX, RX, VCC, and GND pins and sending serial commands.

RYLR998 LoRa module, compact SX1262-based wireless transceiver

The SX1262 platform offers significant improvements over the previous-generation SX1276 used in the RYLR896: higher transmit power (+22 dBm vs. +20 dBm), improved receiver sensitivity, lower sleep current for longer battery life, and a more efficient PA architecture. Configurable parameters, spreading factor, bandwidth, coding rate, and transmit power, are accessible through AT commands, allowing engineers to optimize the range-throughput-power tradeoff for each specific deployment scenario. FCC, CE, and NCC pre-certification eliminates the need for separate RF regulatory testing when the module is used as a certified module within a host product.

Smart agriculture sensor networks, water and gas metering systems, environmental monitoring stations, industrial IoT deployments, and smart city infrastructure projects use the RYLR998 as the wireless backbone for collecting data from distributed sensors over distances where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cannot reach. The module’s combination of long range, low power consumption, and simple UART integration makes it the standard choice for LoRa-based IoT projects that need to move from prototype to production with minimal RF engineering effort.

GSAS Micro Systems provides REYAX RYLR998 modules from Indian inventory with INR invoicing, along with module selection guidance, antenna design consultation, and RF regulatory support for ISM band deployments across India.
