About RYLR999

The REYAX RYLR999 is a dual-radio module combining Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 and LoRa (Semtech SX1262) in a single package with dual UART interfaces. This combination addresses a common IoT architecture requirement: long-range data transmission over LoRa for sensor-to-gateway communication, and short-range Bluetooth for local device configuration, firmware updates, and commissioning via a smartphone or tablet. The dual-radio approach eliminates the need for two separate modules, reducing PCB area, BOM cost, and integration complexity.

RYLR999 LoRa + BLE combo module

The dual UART architecture keeps the LoRa and BLE interfaces independent, allowing the host MCU to communicate with each radio separately. This enables concurrent operation, the LoRa radio can transmit sensor data to a distant gateway while the BLE radio simultaneously accepts configuration commands from a technician’s smartphone. AT command firmware on both interfaces maintains the same ease of integration that characterizes all Reyax modules, requiring no RF expertise from the application developer.

Field-configurable sensor nodes, smart agriculture devices that need both long-range telemetry and local Bluetooth provisioning, industrial IoT equipment with smartphone-based commissioning workflows, and gateway devices that bridge BLE sensor networks to LoRa backhaul benefit from the RYLR999’s integrated dual-radio design. The module is particularly valuable for deployments in remote locations where technicians need to configure and diagnose sensor nodes on-site using a mobile device without disrupting the LoRa data link.

GSAS Micro Systems provides REYAX RYLR999 modules from Indian inventory with INR invoicing, along with application architecture guidance for dual-radio IoT deployments and antenna design consultation.
