Overview
About J-Link PRO

The J-Link PRO is SEGGER’s flagship debug probe, delivering professional-grade JTAG and SWD debugging for Arm Cortex-M, Cortex-A, Cortex-R, and RISC-V architectures. With both USB and Ethernet connectivity, it supports remote debugging workflows essential for distributed engineering teams and automated CI/CD test infrastructure. Download speeds of up to 4 MB/s and unlimited flash breakpoints make it the go-to choice for complex embedded projects where development velocity matters.
Ethernet Debug and Remote Access
The built-in Ethernet interface sets the J-Link PRO apart from the USB-only J-Link models (within the family, only the PRO and the PRO PoE offer network debug). It enables remote debugging over the local network or VPN, allowing multiple developers to share a single probe connected to a target in a hardware lab. For continuous integration pipelines, the Ethernet interface allows automated test frameworks to flash, debug, and verify firmware on physical hardware without a USB connection to the build server, essential for hardware-in-the-loop testing at scale.
The integrated GDB Server accepts connections over both USB and Ethernet, providing a standard interface that works with every GDB-compatible IDE and debugger frontend. J-Link Remote Server extends this further by allowing J-Link tools on a remote machine to connect transparently over the network as if the probe were locally attached.

Software Included at No Extra Cost
Every J-Link PRO ships with SEGGER’s core debug software suite, all licensed for use with the probe:
- Ozone debugger and performance analyzer integration
- J-Flash for stand-alone and scripted flash programming
- RDI interface for RDI-compatible debuggers
- GDB Server, J-Link Commander, Configurator, and Remote Server for local and networked debugging
- Unlimited Flash Breakpoints in internal and external flash
For teams building custom production tooling, the J-Link SDK and Device Support Kit are available separately. Cross-platform host support covers Windows, Linux (x86, x64, Arm), and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon).
Measuring 100 x 53 x 27 mm and weighing 73 g, the J-Link PRO is built for both development and production environments. Its durable design and device support spanning tens of thousands of parts across hundreds of families make it an indispensable part of any embedded development lab.
Buy J-Link PRO in India from GSAS
GSAS Micro Systems, SEGGER’s authorized engineering partner in India, supplies the J-Link PRO with competitive pricing and short lead times, INR invoicing, and GST documentation, supported by local field application engineers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR who provide debug and toolchain integration guidance. If you want the same 4 MB/s performance on a single workstation without Ethernet, consider the J-Link ULTRA; for rack-mounted test farms, the J-Link PRO PoE runs on a single Ethernet cable.
