RTOS-aware debugging in Keil MDK tools
RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) aware debugging is a technique used to debug embedded systems that utilize an RTOS, such as RTX RTOS, or FreeRTOS, in a more effective manner. Using a real-time operating system (RTOS) significantly simplifies the development and maintenance of complex embedded applications with multiple parallel tasks. However, due to increased complexity and the use of 3rd-party software components, it can become challenging to analyze the operation of RTOS-based programs using classic code debug techniques.
Keil is a popular integrated development environment (IDE) for embedded systems, and it provides support for RTOS-aware debugging. Keil Uvision5 integrates multiple mechanisms that provide full visibility into RTOS operation and thus speed up the debugging of potential problems and assist in program optimization.
In this webinar, you will learn to configure RTX RTOS and debug the same using Keil MDK RTOS-aware debugging techniques.
