The PicoScope 2205A MSO from Pico Technology is an entry-level mixed-signal USB oscilloscope that packs 2 analog channels, 16 digital channels, a function generator and an arbitrary waveform generator into a pocket-sized, USB-powered package. Built-in function generator and 12-bit arbitrary waveform generator
The PicoScope 2205A MSO has a built-in signal generator on a rear-panel BNC. The function generator produces sine, square, triangle, ramp, sinc, Gaussian, half-sine, DC and white-noise waveforms with up, down and dual sweep modes over a DC to 100 kHz range and a ±2 V output. For custom stimulus, a fully programmable 12-bit arbitrary waveform generator with an 8 ksample buffer lets you download user-defined waveforms (1 sample to 8 ksamples), handy for replaying a captured signal or driving a circuit under test while you watch the response on the scope.
Serial protocol decoding and a spectrum analyzer included as standard
Serial protocol decoding is built into the PicoScope software at no extra cost. The 2205A MSO decodes I²C, I²S, SPI, RS-232/UART, CAN, LIN and FlexRay, presenting bus traffic in a tabulated view alongside the analog and digital waveforms, so you can debug an embedded bus and its electrical behaviour together. The integrated spectrum analyzer performs an FFT from DC to 25 MHz with magnitude, average and peak-hold display modes and a full set of FFT window functions, rectangular, Gaussian, triangular, Blackman, Blackman-Harris, Hamming, Hann and flat-top, giving you a basic frequency-domain view without a separate instrument.
