About PicoScope 3000E Series

The PicoScope 3000E Series from Pico Technology represents the next generation of USB-powered PC oscilloscopes, delivering up to 500 MHz bandwidth, 5 GS/s real-time sampling, and 2 GS of capture buffer through a USB-C connection — firsts for a bus-powered oscilloscope. Available in four bandwidth tiers (100, 200, 350, and 500 MHz) with optional 16-channel MSO, the 3000E Series replaces the 3000D as Pico Technology’s mid-range platform, adding hardware 10-bit resolution, a faster HAL4 hardware acceleration engine, and dramatically deeper memory while maintaining the compact, portable form factor that defines the PicoScope range.

The 3000E Series introduces several capabilities previously only available in premium benchtop instruments. Hardware 10-bit resolution provides 4x the vertical detail of the 8-bit 3000D Series for small-signal analysis and power integrity work. The 2 GS buffer captures over 400 ms of signal data at full 5 GS/s sampling rate — long enough to catch intermittent faults, protocol timeouts, and startup sequences that shallow-buffer scopes miss entirely. The HAL4 hardware acceleration engine drives 300,000 waveforms per second in fast persistence mode, and DeepMeasure provides automatic cycle-by-cycle analysis across the entire capture buffer.

For teams upgrading from the 3000D Series, the 3000E provides 5x the sampling rate, up to 30x the buffer depth, hardware 10-bit resolution, USB-C connectivity, and 40+ protocol decoders — a substantial generational improvement. The 3418E at 500 MHz competes directly with mid-range benchtop oscilloscopes at a fraction of the cost and bench space. GSAS Micro Systems provides the full PicoScope 3000E range with model selection guidance, probe kit recommendations, and applications support for engineering teams across India.
