About PicoScope 9400A SXRTO Series

The PicoScope 9400A Series from Pico Technology is a family of Sampler-eXtended Real-Time Oscilloscopes (SXRTO) that deliver high-bandwidth measurement up to 33 GHz across four simultaneous channels in a compact, USB-connected form factor. Unlike the sequential sampling architecture of the 9300 Series, the 9400A uses random interleaved sampling to reconstruct repetitive waveforms at an effective sample rate of up to 5 TS/s, combining the captured bandwidth of a top-tier sampling instrument with the multi-channel simultaneity and 12-bit vertical precision that signal integrity, telecom physical layer, and high-speed digital interconnect engineers in Indian R&D labs require. There is no mainframe, no plug-in module ecosystem, and no external sampling head, every channel in every model provides full bandwidth, full resolution, and independent trigger capability over USB 3.0.

Why the 9400A Series for Indian Labs

The 9400A replaces the expensive benchtop sampling oscilloscope for the vast majority of repetitive-signal characterization work, eye diagram analysis, jitter decomposition, PAM4 bit error rate correlation, TDR impedance profiling, and serial interconnect compliance testing, at a fraction of the cost and bench footprint of traditional sampling mainframes from Keysight DCA-X, Tektronix DSA8300, or Anritsu MP2000B. The 12-bit vertical resolution matters for precise amplitude measurements on NRZ and PAM4 signals where lower-resolution 8-bit instruments mask the signal detail that determines pass/fail on stressed eye tests. Four simultaneous full-bandwidth channels allow engineers to observe differential pairs, clock, and data concurrently without channel switching, essential for characterizing PCIe Gen 4/5 lanes, 10/25/100G Ethernet interfaces, and USB4 links where skew and jitter correlation between channels is the measurement.

The -CDR variants add integrated clock data recovery at every bandwidth tier, eliminating the external BERT clock source typically required for serial data analysis. For Indian teams designing SerDes transceivers, building PCIe or Ethernet compliance test benches, or qualifying high-speed optical transceivers, the 9400A CDR models collapse what used to be a two- or three-instrument rack into a single USB-connected box. GSAS Micro Systems provides the full 9400A range across India with model selection guidance, application engineering support for SI and telecom measurement setups, calibration logistics, and demo units for evaluation at our Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR facilities. Whether you need a 6 GHz 9404A-06 for USB 3.0 debug or a 33 GHz 9404A-33 CDR for 56G PAM4 characterization, we can arrange hands-on evaluation and local purchase support.
