About Saleae Logic 2x4 Header Cable (Gen 2)
If your hardware team has already designed a Saleae-pinout 2x4 debug header into the production PCB, the 2x4-to-2x4 header cable is the cleanest way to connect a Logic analyzer for production validation, end-of-line test, or field debug, no flying leads to manage, no contact bounce from test clips, no per-channel mis-wiring. One cable plugs the analyzer into the board exactly the same way every time.
When to choose the 2x4 header cable over flying leads
Pick this cable when:
- Your PCBs include a Saleae-pinout debug header as a standard production design feature
- You run repeated automated captures on a CI/CD test rack and need a cable that won’t shift between runs
- You hand boards back and forth between developers and the cable wear-out rate on flying-leads cables is becoming an issue
