Saleae’s current logic-analyser line has six SKUs: three Logic models (Logic 8, Logic Pro 8, Logic Pro 16) and three Logic MSO variants (MSO 2×100, MSO 4×100, MSO 4×200, each in Standard and Pro). India INR pricing is not published on saleae.com. This post covers the actual India price band, the four procurement frameworks available, and the selection logic for picking the right Saleae Logic SKU for your workload.
GSAS Micro Systems is Saleae’s authorised India engineering partner. We quote and ship the full Saleae Logic line through standard Indian procurement frameworks (direct PO, GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa, TReDS), with engineering offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR.
Why Saleae Logic prices aren’t on the website
Saleae publishes USD list prices on saleae.com that apply to direct US purchases. The actual cost an Indian engineering team pays through a partner like GSAS depends on:
- Current USD-INR exchange rate: moves the base price by 2–4% over any quarter
- GST treatment: IGST at the standard rate on imported electronics, recoverable as input tax credit for GST-registered buyers (most Indian engineering companies)
- Procurement framework: GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa, and TReDS each carry different administrative overhead and quote terms
- Lead time and stock posture: air freight vs. consolidated ocean shipments
- Volume bracket: single units vs. team deployments
This is why GSAS quotes per-inquiry rather than publishing a fixed price list. The honest range any quote will fall into:
| Saleae Logic model | Indicative INR band per unit (single qty, ex-GST) |
|---|---|
| Saleae Logic 8 | Entry tier, lowest price in the range |
| Saleae Logic Pro 8 | Mid tier, typically 2× Logic 8 |
| Saleae Logic Pro 16 | Flagship Logic analyzer, typically 3× Logic 8 |
| Saleae Logic MSO 2×100 | New MSO entry, Standard + Pro variants |
| Saleae Logic MSO 4×100 | Mid MSO, Standard + Pro variants |
| Saleae Logic MSO 4×200 | Flagship MSO, Standard + Pro variants |

Pick the right Saleae Logic model for your team
The “which model” decision has four real inputs. The spec sheet helps but does not pick for you.
Input 1: Channel count
How many concurrent buses do you need to capture in one session?
- Single bus with chip selects and interrupts (SPI, I²C, UART with a reset line) → 4–8 channels, Saleae Logic 8 or Logic Pro 8 is plenty
- Parallel address/data lanes, multiple correlated buses, DDR command lanes → 16 channels, Saleae Logic Pro 16
- Mixed-signal where you also need real analog scope channels → MSO line, see Saleae Logic MSO blog post for the MSO-specific decision
Input 2: Logic threshold flexibility
The Logic 8 has a fixed +1.2 V threshold. That is fine for 3.3 V and 5 V signals, it falls in the middle of the high/low band and reads cleanly. It is not fine for modern 1.8 V SoC rails, where +1.2 V sits inside the legitimate signal range and produces noisy reads.
If your SoC has 1.8 V GPIOs (most modern Arm Cortex-M and application processors do), you want Logic Pro 8 or Logic Pro 16: both have selectable +0.6 V / +0.9 V / +1.65 V thresholds.
Input 3: Analog precision
Logic 8 uses a 10-bit ADC. Logic Pro 8 and Logic Pro 16 use 12-bit. The difference matters when you are watching a power rail under load, 10-bit smooths over the small ripples that a 12-bit ADC catches. For rail debug on a switching regulator or a battery-powered design, the 12-bit Pro models are the right call. For purely digital bus debug, 10-bit is fine.
Input 4: CI/CD automation
Every Saleae Logic device works with the Logic 2 Automation API, Python-driven capture, decode, export, and .sal diff. The model choice doesn’t change the API capability. But for a permanent CI/CD test rack running unattended, the higher sample rate of the Pro models (500 MS/s vs. 100 MS/s) catches faster signal events that the entry Logic 8 will miss at higher protocol speeds.

Indian procurement options through GSAS
GSAS supports four main procurement frameworks for Indian engineering teams buying Saleae Logic:
1. Direct purchase (PO / Invoice)
The most common path. GSAS quotes in INR, you raise a purchase order, we ship from India, GST invoice issued for input tax credit. Suited to commercial entities and most private-sector engineering teams.
2. GeM (Government e-Marketplace)
For DRDO labs, defence PSUs, ISRO units, CSIR labs, IIT/IISc/NIT/IIIT departments, and other government-funded research organisations. GSAS is GeM-registered and can list quotes through GeM bid processes. Lead time is longer due to the framework’s bidding flow but the audit trail is comprehensive.
3. SAP Ariba / Coupa
For Indian enterprises with vendor-onboarded procurement (Tier-1 automotive suppliers, large semiconductor design houses, MNC R&D centres). GSAS has SAP Ariba and Coupa vendor profiles. Quote → catalogue request → e-invoice through the platform.
4. TReDS (Trade Receivables Discounting System)
For working-capital efficiency on larger orders or extended payment terms. GSAS supports TReDS-eligible invoicing through approved factor banks.
What’s actually in the Saleae Logic box
A common pre-sales question, what ships with a Logic device, and what do you need to order separately?
Every Saleae Logic ships with the analyzer pod, at least one wire harness with hook clips, a USB cable, and Logic 2 software (which is free). The Logic Pro 16 box additionally includes a second wire harness (full 16-channel set) and a carrying case. Logic MSO kits ship with analog scope probes (10:1 passive) and digital probes (8 channels), expandable to 20 channels via additional Digital Probe orders.
Most India teams add at least one extra accessory to their first order:
- Saleae Logic-to-Wires flying-leads cable: for breadboard, wire-wrap, and solder-tag probing
- Saleae Logic 2x4 header cable: for production-board debug headers and CI/CD test fixtures
- Saleae wire harness with test clips set: spare or second 16-channel set for the Logic Pro 16
Warranty and India RMA support
Saleae provides a standard manufacturer warranty. GSAS supports RMA handling for units within the warranty terms (i.e., the warranty has not been voided through user damage, modification, or misuse). For exact warranty duration and conditions, refer to Saleae’s official warranty documentation; for India RMA logistics and customs coordination, contact GSAS.
How to ask for a quote
Three pieces of information let us reply with the right quote in one round-trip:
- Which Saleae Logic model: model name only, no part numbers needed
- Quantity: single unit, team deployment, or fleet for a CI/CD rack
- Procurement path: PO, GeM, SAP Ariba, Coupa, or TReDS
Request a Quote with those three details and we will reply with INR pricing, GST treatment, lead time, and any accessories that pair naturally with the analyser you have chosen.
