Two launches, two stalls

GSAS launched hardware of its own: the Cortex-M4 Bridge, the first board in the GSAS Genesis Series. Next door at Stall H3.I47, ProT Ar-Ge opened FADOS XVI, its newest circuit board tester, and Surag A of GSAS showed visitors what it adds.

  • GSAS

Pradyun Kamath holds up the Cortex-M4 Bridge, the first board in the GSAS Genesis Series: an STM32F407 Discovery board on a GSAS carrier with a TFT display, keypad, 7-segment display, LEDs, relay, buzzer and CAN. Then a game of Reflex Roulette runs on it.

  • ProT Ar-Ge

Çiler Çavuşoğlu of ProT Ar-Ge opens the FADOS XVI launch as a crowd gathers at Stall H3.I47. Surag A of GSAS then shows what the new tester adds: milliohm measurement, a short locator and a frequency sweep, with the FADOS 9F1 and MUX functions in one unit.

Running on the board, not in the cloud

Three demos did all their processing on the board. An Alif Ensemble E7 detected faces on its Cortex-M55 and Ethos-U55 with no host PC, an AMD Kria KV260 counted faces in the hall, and an FPGA board played your voice back, modulated.

2 films · 2 min

  • Arm

Pradyun Kamath explains a face-detection model running entirely on an Alif Ensemble E7: the Cortex-M55 handles control and the Ethos-U55 NPU runs inference in 3.42 ms, with no host PC. The board raises a caution when you move out of frame.

On camera: Pradyun Kamath, Field Applications Engineer, GSAS

  • Harshitha H speaks into a microphone and an FPGA board plays her voice back, modulated. Then a visitor steps up to the AMD Kria KV260 vision demo, which detects and counts faces in its camera view of the hall.
